Leaders, executives, and Board Members across the globe like to be able to use their chief human resource officers (CHROs) the way they use their CFOs—as sounding boards and trusted partners. They rely on their skills in linking people and numbers to diagnose weaknesses and strengths in the organization, find the right fit between employees and jobs, and advise on the talent implications of the company’s strategy.
However, many CHROs have limited bandwidth themselves or are more of a generalist who specializes in HR Operations vs HR-integrated business strategy. In addition, the Board of Directors require a CHRO-level expert who has special skills and training in the governance, oversight, and risk management of a company’s talent strategy. They also frequently need a consultant who can serve as a consulting liaison between the Board and CEO when a complex HR initiative that will assist in value creation needs to occur, such as the HR workstream of a merger or acquisition or the skill development of members of the C-suite. Unfortunately, not many individuals have this highly sought-after but rarely found combination of skills, but we do at Conferrr!
Conferrr’s highly specialized HR Consiglieres are being leveraged by companies, both big and small, to provide a host of supplemental strategic HR advisory and consulting services to the Board of Directors, C-suite executives, and their broader leadership staff. They are also being used by CHROs as a thought-partner, to bolster and accelerate implementing business-critical People initiatives.
While we are not the cheapest service, we do offer competitive pricing that helps you avoid the astronomical fees of the pricer big-name consulting firms. No matter if you need 1:1 HR assistance or desire to provide bulk access to private HR advice and counsel to your leadership teams, Conferrr is ready to help!

Who & How We Support
Give yourself and your people the private space to pre-plan, strategize, and confer about the best course of action when tackling issues in the workplace. Discover how you can transform your organization through personalized, outcome-driven HR advisement, at scale.
What we love about Conferrr is that it is a very scalable 9-1-1 service for the workplace.
My HR team is very small with limited bandwidth and we were able to purchase bulk advising memberships as an investment in our people leaders. Having a trusted confidante who can help our leaders both follow our policies and also pre-vet their approaches to their teams with an experienced workplace expert has been a game-changer for us.
Our executive leaders have reported how impressed they are with the well-thought-out updates from their leadership staff. Conferrr has helped our HR team’s and executives’ time to be used more wisely by focusing our attention on endorsing suggested actions vs brainstorming possible solutions.

FAQs
How is Advising Different From Coaching?
Coaching is a long-term process that uses a mix of coaching techniques and deep questioning to help the coachee focus on personal growth and professional development. The coach merely facilitates helping the coachee to self-direct how to achieve goals on their own.
Advising is more similar to a mentor-mentee relationship, where it is more heavily focused on immediate outcomes such as problem-solving, ideation, strategic planning and decision-making. The advisor is more of a thought partner with the client, who targets input in the hopes of helping them make significant progress in solving the urgent issue at hand.
Conferrr has both coaches and advisors on staff, but engages them appropriately based on the needs and desire of each individual client.
NOTE: Neither coaching nor advising is considered therapy, and is not designed to help you work through deeper issues such as anxiety, depression, or trauma. A licensed therapist or physician should be consulted for these occurrences.
Is Conferrr Ment to Replace the CHRO or Their Staff?
Absolutely not! Internal HR resources are the go-to personnel for HR operations, policies, and culture. Conferrr is designed to extend the effectiveness of the HR function by avoiding the need for additional headcount while also providing the cost agility of an on-demand service.
To date, we at Conferrr have never met an overstaffed HR team or one who could service all the needs of their organization in the timeframe that leaders and executives desire. In fact, many organizations purchase bulk advisory sessions for their CHRO (and other executives) so that they may benefit from having a fellow thought leader who can help them accelerate their business-critical initiatives.
Conferrr provides leaders at all levels a confidential resource to think through HR strategies and pre-plan approaches before occupying time on the calendars of their internal colleagues. Imagine being able to set a course of direction in one meeting instead of five! Our goal is to help our clients be more efficient and successful when handling issues at work.
Who Are Your HR Consiglieres and How Can They Help?
Conferrr has our own staff of certified HR consiglieres, each who has 15+ years in at least 3 strategic HR specialties and who has progressed to an extremely high level of expertise. They were chosen from our broader team and have passed a rigorous skill/knowledge/previous experience verification process.
We are not a “marketplace” that matches you to unknown strangers. Our consiglieres work directly for us and have extensive proven experience serving as consultants for our parent company (SDL) and/or Conferrr. Through a careful vetting process when you request to book a session, we match you up with a member of our staff who will ensure you have the highest quality advisory experience possible.
But our real validation relies on customer reviews. Our expert HR Consiglieres are rated by clients after each engagement, and their ranking affects their likelihood of being matched with future Conferrr clients. If their ranking goes below 4/5, they’re immediately removed from our advisory pool.
For individuals, our advisors can support you on anything you may be struggling with – everything from disputes with colleagues to verifying your rights under employment laws to career strategies to team management.
For boards and companies, our advisors can also support you on complex HR or workplace issues, such as leader development, mergers and acquisitions, People/Talent infrastructures, team development, organizational realignments, succession planning, building high-performing teams, corporate governance and various talent strategies.
Can I Select My Own HR Consigliere?
What differentiates our service is that we are not a marketplace of 150K unverified profiles. We leverage our own real staff and personally match your request based on both the type and level of HR expertise you require as well as the availability of our HR Consiglieres. We are confident that you will have a wonderful experience with your assigned match.
If you happen to have a subpar experience, please inform us asap via the brief feedback form that you will receive, and we’ll do our best to rectify the situation.
What are Advisory Sessions Like and Are They Truly Confidential?
First of all, yes, your advisory sessions (and any submitted documents) will be kept confidential. Each of our HR Consiglieres has already signed an extensive Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and Privacy Agreement. In addition, Conferrr prioritizes safety when handling your data, as per our Conferrr Privacy Policy.
In regard to what you will experience, once you submit your brief request form and payment, our intake team will immediately analyze your request and appoint an HR consigliere who specializes in your topic(s) of concern. You will be provided a link to schedule a convenient 45-minute meeting for you both via your choice of phone or video.
Up to two (2) email follow-ups are included in the price of the consultation, as your consigliere may desire to provide you with templates, sample verbiage, document reviews, resource links, or other supplementary support.
